The Illusion Of Free Will
In this episode, I explore the concept of non-duality and its implications for our understanding of free will. I discuss how our society is conditioned to see the world through dualistic lenses, such as "us vs. them" or "good vs. bad," and how this perspective creates suffering. By understanding non-duality, we can see that all things are interdependent and impermanent, leading to a realization that concepts like winning and losing, or life and death, are not separate but part of a unified whole. This understanding challenges the traditional notion of free will, suggesting that we are free to be who we are within the present moment, but not free to be something we are not. Ultimately, embracing non-duality allows us to let go of chasing illusory goals, like the donkey chasing a carrot, and find freedom and peace in simply being present with what is.
